About Us The name behind the 'Aliki Yamani Creations' label belongs to a woman, whose colorful fashions have captivated clients of more than 500 upscale boutiques and specialty stores since 1992. Aliki Gable was born in Nassau, Bahamas raised in Miami and Athens, Greece. These colorful sights inspired her love for fashion and art leading to her studying at FIT, New York's prestigious Fashion Institute of Thechnology. Her mother Helene and late father, Constantine Yamanis, encouraged her to direct her passion into a successful business and with their support the "Aliki Yamani Creations" label was born. For nearly two decades Aliki's quest has been to seek out the best silks for her fashion line. Aliki chose silk as her canvas for her unique line of washable fashions. "It is a natural fabric, the only one that captures the most vivid colors," she explains, "it is luxurious, timeless and can be enjoyed year round." And so they set off on a journey down the 'silk road', leading to the opening of their own production facility in China, the home of silk. In 1998 Aliki met Scott Gable of Cleveland, Ohio. After a whirlwind long distance romance, the two married and continued in the spirit of family business, working side by side. They have made Sarasota home for them and their three children and the center for the development of their company. In 2004 Scott and Aliki diversified and began selling to fabric retailers and designer's of high fashion labels."We want to grow, but not hurt our specialty business." says Scott. "Since we work directly with the silk mills, we can provide different types of silks to fabric stores and other manufacturers." Aliki attributes much of her success to her parents. They encouraged her to follow her dream of art by saying, "If you love  work, you'll never work a day in your life."
